How To Size A Keyboard Rug When Tufting?

1, I googled the dimensions, the cut a piece cardboard. So all I have to do is trace the cardboard and fit the image in there. Hopefully that made sense.

2, I use Adobe illustrator and the dimensions I use is 14x6 or 18x7.

3, One of the greatest things I’ve learned to do is create vector images. I use a programs on my computer they are GIMP and Inkscape both are completely free. Then I used chatGPT to teach me. Vector images if you are not sure what they are. Are images that can be enlarged without losing quality. Those programs will also allow you to size any image to exact dimensions and it will also do it proportionally so you won’t lose dimension. Not sure if it helps but learning vector imaging helped so much.
