Some Tips on Tufting Carving Process

1,Try to keep a slow pace until you fully understand the process. also carve in different directions like in between colors carve down the first pass and then go back up from the opposite direction but carving isn’t just a one step process. you have to continuously go over certain spots until you’re satisfied just being sure that you don’t over carve it.

2, Carving is my favorite part of the process. Just make sure you always oil & clean your shaver fully before you use it. Depending on the shaver u have , if u have the standard brown handle one put your speed to 70% not 100% it will over heat ur gun faster & it could shut it off.

3,watch the angles, match your hand speed with whichever speed your trimmers are on and just remember to go in opposite directions over and over so you don’t have to carve too deep to get the cleanest crisp lines… that takes multiples passes.
