Advice for new one who is first tufting!

,Buy good equipment up front. You will save yourself so much time and money in the long run. And you will make 10 to 20 shitty rugs before you make 1 truly good sellable rug. Don’t expect to be good you won’t be. It’s a skill. And skills have to be learned.

,This is not to discourage it’s for you to remember when you are 6 crappy rugs in and want to quit. Just keep grinding.

,You can make a decent rug with a cheap a gun. It’s not the gun it’s the person. Take your time and quality will be fine.

,Shave between colors and while on the frame.

,Pulse the gun when doing curves.

,Don’t feel defeated.

,Start simple.

,Never forget to flip the image when projecting to trace.

,Start with a small frame.

,Once ready Build a frame that fits a whole canvas for the least amount of waste.

,Dont just assume yarn colors are the same even from the same brand.

,This hobby is just a hobby and it's not for the weak.

,“Don’t be so hard on yourself when you make mistakes, just learn from them moving forward”.
