How to Clean Tufting Rugs If They Get Dirty?
Share
1: I once washed mine in the washer and it was fine came out better than before because it mostly white and the black outline trimming had tinted it really bad, it was fine but I then told a customer his would be fine to wash and it fell apart 😂 so I guess it depends on the washer.
2: Follow general rules: suitable cleaner (ie; no bleach in it), cold water, gentle handling when wet, air-dry hung up.
3: Dry clean.
Little carpet shampoo foam on the face
Then clean the foam.
Use small sponge for that.
No water
4: Little hand held carpet cleaner machine.
5: Strip them in the bathtub with hot hot water add vinegar and a dash of dishwashing soap. you can also add essential oils after you rinse it or laundry detergent and rinse again.
6: You don’t. You spot clean it. Small amount of water on a rag. You can vacuum it for sure. I use an air compressor to blow them off. But most hand tufted rugs are NOT to be walked on. They are more for decoration than function.
