How To Tuft Small Font?

, I outline with one strand of yarn , slow my gun all the way down ,then fill in with two strands.

, I work one letter at a time and clean them up on frame .

,  I just used the gun and did the smallest bits first like the inner black areas. Mostly was difficult carving. The alternative i think is punch needle by hand, there is also a loop pile manual tool, but you'd likely need to cut every strand to make it cut instead of loop.

, Make it the same width on every letter. Carve patiently, think of yourself as a yarn surgeon.

, Good carving should help make the letters stand out more. Taking it slow with scissors should help. But yeah small letters are difficult to do.

, Honestly, as long as the yarn in the lettering’s OK (which again, it looks to me), you can make it stand out by carving/trimming away the bits of surrounding color.
